Manufacturing Engineer
If you're a hands-on engineer who's tired of chaotic environments, unclear expectations, and products that don't really matter — this might be the role you've been waiting for.
At Lawler Manufacturing, we've spent decades making thermostatic mixing valves that are installed in hospitals, schools, hotels, and care facilities across North America. Most people never think about the water coming out of a hospital faucet or a school sink — but someone has to solve the problem of keeping it hot enough to kill dangerous bacteria and safe enough not to scald a child or a patient. That's exactly what our valves do, quietly, in buildings across the continent.
We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who takes pride in precision, thinks in systems, and wants to build things that last.
What you'll actually do
- Design & improve manufacturing processes
- You'll own the engineering behind how we build our products — driving cost efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Support production and troubleshoot in real time
- When the floor runs into a build issue, you're the one they call. You'll work alongside production and customer teams to diagnose and resolve problems fast.
- Create and maintain 3D models and technical drawings
- Detail matters here. You'll produce, audit, and refine 3D models, 2D drawings, BIM models, and photo-realistic renders using industry-standard tools.
- Manage and develop our PDM system (Windchill)
- You'll help build and maintain the data structure that keeps our engineering work organized and accessible.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology
- 3D modeling proficiency — minimum 4 years hands-on experience
- Creo / Pro/Engineer preferred · SolidWorks or Inventor also considered
- 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently. You manage your own priorities
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Windchill, or Microsoft Excel
- Background in plumbing or industrial manufacturing
